What is Escape Workshop?
Escape Workshop is a community arts project based in Stratford-on-Avon, with three venues; at Stratford, Alcester and Studley.

Our aim is to provide opportunities for everybody - no matter what their age or background - to get involved in creating something artistic. Our unique set-up allows us to provide free materials and equipment, along with expert advice, tuition and inspiration.

How do we achieve this?
Our financial income is from two main sources;
Charitable donations
Support from arts funding bodies

This enables us to provide a regular free service that attracts people who would not normally pursue an artistic activity because of the expense of resources, and encourages the already-artistic to experiment with techniques and materials they would not normally have the chance to try.

We also have occasional workshops and short courses run by top artists and other professionals, for which we charge a modest fee to cover the cost of specialist materials and expert tuition.

Finding your artistic self
Most importantly, our service is centred on helping the individual get in touch with their artistic self, and discovering the enormous therapeutic benefits of getting stuck in to something creative.

Community Projects
As well as individual artistic pursuits, we run regular group projects. Many of our participants have commented on how these projects have helped them forge new friendships and increase their teamwork skills. Many of the projects end up on display in the community, either in exhibitions or as permanent installations.

Insight Workshops
During the summer holidays we run a series of creative projects for young people. These usually consist of three weeks of fun and activities, based at our Stratford venue, and include anything from pottery, woodwork, mosaic, animation, film making, fabric painting, music, painting and drawing.

Paper Moon
